Corporate travel expenses have for years been at the heart of a debate on cost control at big corporations. Companies have their own rules on how travel expenses should be footed. One might ask, how much of that travel is really business travel? And what about traveling by car to get to work in the morning?
So where have all the models gone? That’s what the managers of Madrid’s Cibeles catwalk are asking.
It's pure genius. Why get into your car and drive to work, when you can stay right where you are, even drink coffee out of the coffeemaker at home, go into the next room, turn the computer on and voilà ! You are at work!

Gazpacho, now there's a great refreshing entree. Paella from Valencia, squid or octopus from Galitia, and let's not forget a good Madrid Stew (cocido). Weeklyletter.com is a weekly blog for students of English. We are a team of highly experienced teachers who publish a text with a specific theme - often about current affairs - every week. You can read the article and even listen to it: the teacher may have something to say that is not on the article!
If you're not sure about a word or expression - or you simply want to share your opinion - you can add a comment. The teachers regularly read the comments and reply to them. So it is very likely that you will receive help with your doubts - even, perhaps, from another student.
