Do you remember Knut, the celebrity polar bear cub (now a very big bear!) born at the Berlin Zoo? Now, there is a new star! Her name is Flocke, or “snowflake” in English, because she is as white as a snowflake. She is the new, and adorable, polar bear cub causing media frenzy at the Nuremberg Zoo.
Zookeepers separated Flocke from her mother Vera because they had concerns that she could harm or even kill the newborn.
Flocke’s popularity is beginning to rival Knut’s – with the zoo providing daily news on her condition.
