French President Nicolas Sarkozy has married the Italian model and singer Carla Bruni, in Paris. It has been a very short, but very public romance.
Sarkozy and Bruni met in November, a month after Sarkozy’s divorce from his ex-wife, Cecilia.
The president has got a ten-year-old son, Louis, from his marriage to Cecilia and two sons, Pierre, 22, and Jean, 21, from his first marriage to Marie-Dominique Culioli.
Carla Bruni, a singer and ex-model, has got a son from a previous relationship with French philosopher Raphael Enthoven.
Sarkozy’s popularity has fallen as a result of over-exposure of his private life.

Hello – Nicolas and Carla. Hmmm. I don’t know. Does he love her? Does she love him? I don’t know!
I ask several things myself:
Must the mass media respect the life private of the politicians?
Can SarKozy prevent that the mass media publish his private life?
If the life private of the politicians must be known for the citizens, we must know her of all, not only some.
Why the mass media show that of a few politicians and conceal it from others?
How many mass media knew the life deprived of Mitterand and they did not publish?
Very good questions, Marta. Public personalities, public responsibilities. Sarkozy is happy to use the media to publicize his life. His wife is happy to use the media to promote her image. Why respect their private lives? Public people have public lives. But, do they love each other?
I’ve heard that she said that she likes powerful men. Is she in love with his power, then?
And don’t you think that Carla looks like Cecilia a lot? I do!
Did you know that Nicolas and Carla have recently won a lawsuit against Ryanair? They have been ordered to pay nearly $89,000 for an advertisement featuring a photo of the couple!
U.S. politician Henry Kissinger said “power is the ultimate aphrodisiac”. I hope they are happy.
