Every year I make predictions for the year to come. Every year I am right. Not 100% right. But right enough to scare the people who know me. Here are my predictions for 2009.

Robert Mugabe, the evil dictator of Zimbabwe, will be deposed, arrested and tried at the International Court of Justice at The Hague.

Israel will attack Iran’s nuclear reactors.

Ian Paisley, the Irish demagogue, will go to a better (or worse) life.

Real Sociedad will be promoted. Athletic Bilbao will be relegated.

Muslims and Christians will find harmony in Spain.

Spring will come early.

Prince Charles of England will say something stupid. (An easy prediction, isn’t it?)

Love will continue to be the answer.

There will be some BIG news about The Beatles.

And YOU will continue reading these Weeklies and learning English!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
