Copyright law

The French government is proposing a tough, new law to stop people stealing the creative and academic work of others.

They want a law that says people who repeatedly share digital copyright lose their internet connection.

Some people think that copyright laws are too strict. These people are usually not very creative. Other people, artists and academics, think that copyright laws protect their property.

You can legally copy some works that have a Creative Commons license. You must read the terms and conditions of the license first.
